is a modern pro-hormone used by athletes. Its very famous because it inhibits the action of 11-beta-hydroxysteroid type 1 reductase, the enzyme that converts cortisone into cortisol that destroys the muscles. 11-OXO is naturally produced in the adrenal glands and is converted into 11-ketotestosterone which is a mild androgen.
